Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how DocByInk uses cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies when you visit https://dockbyink.com or use our document builders and PDF Tools.
For how we handle personal data overall, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and browser storage?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We also use localStorage and sessionStorage, which are browser APIs that store data on your device. Together, these technologies help the Service remember your session, save drafts, and keep export state.
2. Essential cookies and storage
These are required for core functionality. The Service may not work correctly if you block them.
| Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Auth session cookies | Keep you signed in (Supabase Auth) | Session / as configured by auth provider |
| localStorage drafts | Auto-save builder form data on your device | Until you clear site data |
| localStorage export unlock | Remember paid export re-download eligibility | Up to 7 days per export |
| sessionStorage last export | Hand off exported PDF to PDF Tools in same tab session | Until browser tab is closed |
| Language preference | Remember biodata label language selection | Until you clear site data |
3. Analytics cookies (if enabled)
We may add privacy-conscious analytics (such as Plausible or PostHog) to understand usage and improve the product. If we do, we will:
- Update this Cookie Policy before enabling non-essential analytics
- Disclose the provider in our Privacy Policy
- Prefer tools that minimize personal data collection
- Provide opt-out instructions where required
At the time of this update, non-essential analytics cookies are not active on the production site.
4. Third-party cookies
Razorpaymay set cookies or use storage when you open the payment checkout flow. These are governed by Razorpay's policies.
Supabase may set authentication-related cookies when you sign in or reset your password.
PDF Tools do not upload your files to our servers and do not require additional third-party processing cookies for file handling.
5. How to control cookies and storage
You can manage cookies and site data through your browser settings:
- Block or delete cookies per site or globally
- Clear browsing data, including localStorage and sessionStorage
- Use private/incognito mode for a temporary session
Clearing storage will remove unsynced drafts saved only in your browser and may end export re-download eligibility for past purchases on that device.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT. We currently do not change essential functionality based on DNT signals.
7. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add features such as analytics or marketing tools. Check the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
